Type 3 beams can not be narrowed the way around this is to fit beetle\type 1 front suspension. This beam allows you to fit all these parts with little modification to your car.

You will need to trim a very small amount off your frame head and drill out the frame head top mount hole from 10mm to 12mm all very easy stuff plus the beam comes with instructions explaining what to do.
